KyaryPamyuPamyu- A Quick trip to Seattle

Ever since we went to Japan in December,  Josh has been super into KyaryPamyuPamyu – A crazy japanese Pop singer.

What’s crazy about her? See for yourself:

She’s super cute and perfectly weird, and her songs are SO catchy!
She’s starting to attract attention and getting popular in the US too, and Seattle was her first stop in her U.S. Tour.

We found out a few days ago that she will be in Seattle (over 3 hours away from here), so we made a spontaneous decision to take a super quick trip to Seattle to see her yesterday.

So much energy and just pure fun! We were dead tired by the time we got home past 2 am, but it was all worth it!

My brain is recharged, inspired for new and different ideas 🙂

Happy Valentines day!

Inspiration from music- Ghibli Medley

I guess I wasn’t just imagining the cold.. It’s officially snowing, and our pipes are frozen! Perfect.

SnowWell, I’m thankful that our showers work (fingers crossed), and it’s just the toilet and the bathroom sink that does not give us any water. All good- we will survive.

My friend sent me a link to an amazing piano medley of all the major ghibli songs today.

If you do not know of Ghibli movies, I HIGHLY recommend watching them- they are pretty much the classic- king of animation movies in Japan. In fact, Spirited Away won the oscars in 2002.

They are filled with beautiful pictures, expressions, and are SO full of imagination. These movies give me inspiration, and it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say they made me who I am today.

Another thing great about them is the music- they’re SO beautiful, and if you have seen the movies, listening to them takes you back to the movie and all the emotions that come with them.

The thing about the weather is… it’s cold!

After almost 2 years of moving to Washington from California, I’m STILL not used to the cold here.

Yesterday it was 24degrees out, and we are expecting snow this weekend!!

I went on a walk this morning (I’m so proud of myself for doing this!), and the lake in the apartment complex near ours was frozen! What?? This Californian just can’t wrap my head around this new concept.

Maybe we can save electricity by leaving all our food in the balcony instead of our fridge.

Can’t wait for spring to come!!
